"This provision (the 4th Amendment)
speaks for itself.
Its plain object is to secure
the perfect enjoyment of that
great right of the common law,
that a man's house
shall be his own castle,
privileged against
all civil and military intrusion."

IF ONLY JUSTICE WERE ALIVE. WE HAVE A CORRUPT CRIMINAL GOVERNMENT OF ROYAL FRAUDS WILLING TO DEFECATE UPON OUR CONSTITUTION FOR THEIR PERSONAL WEALTH. THEY WILL KILL OUR FAMILIES AND SEE US IN PRISON CAMPS BEFORE THEY STOP THEIR CRIMES. THEIR HIRED "TERRORISTS" WILL DO THEIR UNSPEAKABLE BIDDING TO SCARE US INTO BECOMING THEIR SLAVE SHEEP. RISE UP AMERICA!!

King George says: 'Ahh, ferget that Constitution thang, I want no castles, or sovereigns secure in them, I'm gunna wire tap everybody and tell um it's fer their own good; and, probable cause doesn't really need supporting by oath or affirmation particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.'

This site used to be filled with thoughtful intelligent comments with only a spatter of idiots. It is changing fast unfortunately. Only a couple of weeks ago I felt that this site was one of the few places that reason could be found. I fear that it is heading towards kooksvile.

Tell that to the homeowners in New Orleans who were taken out of their homes, hands bound, while FEMA searched their houses for guns. After confiscating their lawful weapons they were released to defend their property with nothing. Apparently during an emergency our rights do not exist (for our own protection, no doubt). Man, the federales have gotten a lot of power over the last decade -- is there any way to stop them now?

Justice Joseph Story couldn't have conceived of today's runaway police and intelligence (what an oxymoron) agencies.

To his credit, he does only refer to the fourth amendment in terms of "Its plain object" and not our nation's adherence to that object.

"speaks for itself. Its plain object" is unamerikan to the extreme. The occupying statist theocracy infesting what is Amerika today, claims nothing is plain - every thing is open to the oppressor's interpretation. The statist theocracy's police state does NOT recognize: individual sovereign enjoyment (perfect or otherwise), inalienable rights (great or small), common law (or any other form of natural law), ownership (a man's house being his own castle), or any privilege against all civil and military intrusion.

As it was in the days of Noah ! So shall it be in the last days. Whoremongers and thieves, liars and cheats. Spoiling what ever remains of decency, honesty, innocence, and all that is worthy of respect. Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. Prov 14:34. Excellent speech becometh not a fool : much less do lying lips a prince. Perhaps that is why Obama stumbles so much, as with others in his party. When the wicked cometh, then cometh contempt, and with ignominy reproach. Prov 18:3
